A 41-year-old Mission Viejo man who police said was nude when they arrested him outside a Mission Viejo house early Sunday morning faces three misdemeanor counts in the incident.
Robert Kiley Cook has been charged with indecent exposure, lewd conduct in a public place and knowingly and intentionally exposing his genitalia.
He pleaded not guilty to all three counts Tuesday. A jury trial is scheduled for May 14.
The incidents happened on Ave Topanga near the intersection of Trabuco Road and Alicia Parkway.
A woman told Orange County Sheriff's Department deputies that a man had approached her wearing only a shirt when she arrived home from work about 3:30 a.m.
Deputies found Cook near the back of a nearby house, completely nude, and arrested him without incident, Lt. Joe Balicki said.
Cook has a criminal record, according to the Orange County Superior Court website.
In 2005, he pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace with loud and unreasonable noise and was sentenced to four days in jail. In the same case, he pleaded not guilty to "annoying or molesting children," a charge that was later dismissed and for which he was sentenced to three years of informal probation.
In 2010, he pleaded guilty to a charge of peeking into inhabited building and was sentenced to 30 days in jail and another three years of informal probation.
Cook remains in Orange County Central Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail. Jail records list his occupation as "musician."
